Ready to bring the great outdoors into your daycare? Join us for a playful, hands-on workshop where you'll discover exciting ways to introduce young kids to the wonders of nature while boosting their creativity, curiosity, and love for the outdoors!
● Wild Benefits of Nature Play: Find out how spending time outdoors sparks kids' imagination, builds their confidence, and helps them connect with the world around them.
● Easy Nature Activities: Get inspired with simple, hands-on activities that turn nature into a classroom. From nature walks, outdoor scavenger hunts, and creating nature art with found objects, you’ll have a whole toolkit of fun ideas to try out!
● Creating Nature Nooks: Learn how to transform your daycare space—indoors and outdoors—into a nature-filled wonderland that sparks exploration and environmental learning.
By the end of the workshop, participants will leave with a toolkit of creative ideas, resources, and inspiration for fostering a deep respect for nature while supporting the developmental needs of young children.
This workshop will be held at Nahant Marsh Education Center, facilitated by Nahant Naturalist Allison Nodurft. Be prepared to be indoors and outdoors.
Upon completion, each participant will receive a copy of Growing Up WILD: Exploring Nature with Young Children, from Project WILD Curriculum.
